Academic Education Special Interest Section (AESIS)
AESIS members are interested in OT education and include fieldwork education and coordinators, capstone coordinators, faculty, students, and more.
Children & Youth Special Interest Section (CYSIS)
CYSIS members work in programs under Parts B and C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 1990 and with infants, preschoolers, children, and adolescents. CYSIS also includes a specialty focus on early intervention and school programs.
Developmental Disabilities Special Interest Section (DDSIS)
DDSIS members held to facilitate the inclusion of all individuals, including those with developmental disabilities in all settings, including home, school, work, and community settings.
Home & Community Health Special Interest Section (HCHSIS)
HCHSIS members practice in home health, adult day services, senior housing, wellness programs, community mental health centers, with home modifications, and accessibility.
Mental Health Special Interest Section (MHSIS)
MHSIS members support individuals, groups, communities, and populations across their lifespan who are at risk of or are currently living with a mental health challenge.
Productive Aging Special Interest Section (PASIS)
PASIS members work with occupational needs and priorities of the older adult population and relate to the full continuum of care for the aging population.
Sensory Integration & Processing Special Interest Section (SIPSIS)
SIPSIS members focus on the neurobiological, sensory, and praxis foundations of occupation and play for individuals with disabilities, across the lifespan
Work & Industry Special Interest Section (WISIS)
WISIS members assist individuals to engage and reengage in their work across the lifespan, understanding the relationship of work to human development, motivation, and occupational performance
